Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a high-performing finance team within a leading international law firm. This role will see you partnering closely with senior stakeholders, including Partners and legal teams, to drive financial performance and commercial decision-making. You will oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality reporting across the business. Leading a team of three (an Assistant Accountant and two Finance Assistants), you will play a key role in developing talent while enhancing financial processes. Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager based internationally, this position offers strong global exposure and career progression.

• Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic business partner to Partners and lawyers, driving financial performance and profitability

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

  • Ensure adherence to financial controls, protocols, and regulatory requirements

  • Oversee billing, cash flow, WIP, debt management, and financial hygiene metrics

  • Manage and develop a team of three finance professionals

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, BD, Tax, and other key business areas

• Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a finance role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment

  • Strong leadership experience managing small teams

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
