Overview
This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounts professional to join a boutique law firm in Dublin 2. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team to meet financial targets and will manage day-to-day accounting tasks with accuracy and professionalism.

In this role you will:
Act as the ‘go-to’ person for all finance matters in the firm;
Maintain up-to-date books and records;
Process day to day transactions and handle client monies;
Perform day and month end routines;
Manage VAT and PAYE/PRSI, Stamp Duty and IT38s;
Work closely with Credit Control;
Understand and ensure full compliance with Law Society Accounting Regulations;
Deal with all queries in a timely and sol manner;

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• Recognised bookkeeping certifications are desirable;
• Previous bookkeeping experience within a law firm or professional services environment is desired as strong understanding of legal accounting practices, including double-entry bookkeeping is required;
• Experience handling client monies and compliance with Accounts Rules (or equivalent Irish standards);
• Familiarity with trust accounting and regular account reconciliation
Technical Skills;
• Proficiency with legal and general accounting software, specifically Key House;
• Meticulous attention to detail and consistency in record-keeping;
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks;
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with solicitors, clients, and external accountants;
• Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive financial and client information;
• A proactive mindset for problem-solving and process improvement.
