Overview

A leading law firm is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join its Risk and Partnership Affairs department. This newly created role supports the onboarding function and a firm-wide conflict check system currently being rolled out. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Business Acceptance Manager and the Senior Risk and Professional Standards Lawyer and contribute to ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and conflict resolution processes are upheld.

    • Conduct conflict searches and analyse results to identify potential issues.

    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal obligations, and professional standards.

    • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    • Investigate whether changes to existing mandates create conflicts or compliance risks.

    • Liaise with partners and lawyers to help resolve conflicts arising during mandate changes.

    • Assist with training initiatives around conflicts, information barriers, and compliance.

    • Maintain accurate records and support administrative tasks as required.

    • Generate reports and updates on active tasks and compliance activities.

    • Conduct database searches to meet regulatory obligations.

    • Support additional compliance-related projects as needed.

    • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.

    • Strong system and Excel skills (essential).

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.

    • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong communication and client service skills.

    • Ideally holds an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a compliance-related field.

    • Previous experience with Intapp or similar onboarding tools is advantageous.

    • 12–18 months' experience in claims, KYC, AML, or compliance roles is a plus (for higher end of salary range).
